On May 31 - June 1 Klaipeda visited representatives of Sail Training International (STI): Race Director Peter Newell, Commercial Director Gwyn Brown and the Chairman Race Committee -  Robin Snouck Hurgronje.

After meeting with the working groups responsible for communications, security, events, volunteer labor etc. leaders, STI representatives argued that they are satisfied with the preparation works for the regatta.

On June 1, at the press conference guests remembered The Tall Ships Races in Klaipeda, organized in 2009 and gratitude the organizers. "We are confident that this year Klaipeda will be more than good port for the regatta’s start”- said Mr. Newell.
